The family-run metal recycling business, now managed by Béatrice Durand and her brother Didier, who are the 4th generation, has been operating a Lidex shear at its Nîmes site since May.
The new Lidex from the century-old Nîmes recycler has a cutting force of 1,000 tonnes, an 8×2 m compression box and a 4×110 kW electric motor.
With this machine, Durand Récupération, which has experienced constant growth in its activity, is further increasing its production capacity and efficiency and will meet the needs of tomorrow.
The company is also known for its commitment to heritage and art. It has launched an artistic initiative that consists of inviting renowned artists specializing in Street Art to come to its site to create unique works using old wagons as supports. These original works will be exhibited on 24 and 25 September on the Durand Récupération site.
