A LIDEX scrap shear has just been started up at the GALLOO Group site in the Ardennes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The machine is installed in GALLOO\u2019s subsidiary in Hirson, bought by the Group in 2006, and which then moved to a new site in the same city in 2009. The team, managed by Benoit Hincelin, has developed the activity from 1,000 to 3,000 tons processed per month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The old 800-ton shear was worn out and insufficient for those new production needs. It therefore was decided to invest in a new stationary scrap shear with the objective of processing 150 tons a day. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

After investigating the market of European manufacturers, the GALLOO Group finally opted for LIDEX of 1,000 tones from COPEX, with a cutting width of 1,000 mm, a compression box of 8×2 m, and hydraulics of 4×110 kW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This first order will soon be supplemented by a second LIDEX unit, almost identical to the one that has just been put into production, and will be installed in the autumn in Dunkirk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
